Yose power 350w rear hub kit advice

The Yose kit, as it comes, won't give more power than the Suntour. You need 48v to get what you want. The woosh 48v hub-motor kit will do it or you can run any normal motor wheel with a 48v controller and battery. For 20nph max, you need a 48v 260 rpm motor or 201 rpm 36v one with 48v. For...

    batteries and chargers

    |Did you measure the actual voltage from each charger? Does the 36v one say "output voltage 36v" or "charger for 36v lithium battery"? You can't charge a 36v battery of any type with a charger that only outputs 36v. You need 42v to charge a 36v lithium battery.

    Cyclamatic powerplus controller fault ?

You won't be able to buy a throttle the same as the Cyclamatic one unless you get it from Sports Direct, which will be expensive. You can buy ones that look identival and have the same hardware, but the Cyclamativ one has unique wiring inside the throttle, where the red button is used to switch...

    TSDZ2 speed sensor works partly

You have the wires in the connector out of sequence in one of the connectors. The brakes are a simple switch to ground, but if they have three wires, then they have an addditional 5v to power the switch.. Normally, all parts supplied with kits are in the correct sequences, but if you buy...

Help! Metal flat platform non-folding pedals foe ADO A20?

There are two sizes of the threads on pedals. Most common is 9/16" x 20tpi. Some bikes have 1/2" x 20tpi. To be sure what you'll have, you'll have to wait until the bike arrives unless someone on the forum has one and can tell you what it is. There are loads of every type of pedaal on Ebay. I...

GPS Tracking on new Wisper Sport?

Have a look at the examples of specific independent tests done on satellite tracking systems. We all all know what we want them to do and what the sellers tell us they can do in the right circumstances. Take my advice and don't introduce any sort of remote locking systems. Apart from the fact...

    ERider moped Help

Get a friend/neighbour/grandson or anybody like that to do it for you. DO NOT buy any battery until you know what current is written on the controller. I can guarantee that a £110 one won't work on your bike unless it's SLAs which would give yo a range of less than 10 miles and are very heavy...

Does anyone know of an ebike rider being prosecuted for riding a bike of over 250 watts?

There has to be some limit specified in law because you can see that at some point of size, power, weight, speed or whatever, the vehicle would need to be controlled by a certified competent operator, otherwise there would be mayhem. I've been on this forum for more than 10 years. During that...

Missing Screws - Pendleton Somerby Bike

Screws are designated by material thread size, length and heat type. 5mm diameter hole is M5 and 6mm is M6. You have to assess what length will do. Normal screws with a hexagon in the top are called hex cap screws. You can use stainless steel or zinc plated steel screws. You can also cho0se...

    PF41 Adapter

You don't need to spend £50 on them. They're £11.86 and £5.52 postage on Ebay. I just found them again in seconds using Google, like I explained before.

Does anyone know of an ebike rider being prosecuted for riding a bike of over 250 watts?

Examination and testing can't prove anything about the power rating of the motor, but there are two things that can be easily checked. That's the bike's top assisted speed and any writing on the motor that says anything more than 250w.

    ERider moped Help

You'll probably have to remove panels to get at the controller. You might be able to see it if you look from underneath the bike. It's attached both to the battery wires and the motor cable, so just look where they go and you'll come to it. If you're throttle is set to work on its own, you...

Disregard what I wrote above. I read your first post as 22A max, not 45A.

Does anyone know of an ebike rider being prosecuted for riding a bike of over 250 watts?

Nobody has ever been able to show a record of anybody ever having been prosecuted for riding an illegal ebike in mainland UK. There was a guy in Guernsey prosecuted. He had a big direct drive motor in his bike Everybody knows what's going on in Guensey. Maybe he upset a neighbour and the...

    ERider moped Help

No, it doesn't charge when you pedal. Other bikes like that that I've seen had a normal pedal sensor. When you turn the pedals, they give power. You can set them to have an independent throttle or throttle that only works when you pedal.

    Help! controller broken?

You don't need a 50 amp battery for a 22 amp controller. A 25A one would be fine. The main problem is that the controller is underrated foe that motor, especially if it's a fast winding. You need to tell us how fast the motor goes. If it's a 40 mph winding, then you need to keep it above 20 mph...

    ERider moped Help

First question is where do you live? If you're anywhere near me, I might be able to help you. Those mopeds normally have higher current controllers than ebikes, so you probably need a battery that can provide 25 amps continuous. Without pedaling, 10Ah will get you something like 5 to 10 miles...

    SameBike E-One problem

Those type of bikes often get problems with the battery contacts in the fold, when they don't line up properly. If you can see anything obviously wrong with them, unscrew the plate with the prongs on it and manually insert it into the battery to see if it works. While you're there, check all the...
