    KT don't sell full kits with batteries , they simply supply the electric systems or parts sans any battery. OEM or third party sales.

    Might just mean no diy tampering of UK only OEM bikes but doesn't stop one from swapping out complete systems for a KT one . KT for instance aren't going to panda/adopt UK big brother do as I say reg's.

    The 6 pin is the Hall sensor , the extra white wire is for an internal speed sensor which one doesn't need to test. The link is an old link but still valid for modern motors with the speed sensor, one only needs to check the three main Halls of the motor PCB board of Gr/Blu/Yel.

    It is very rare for a display ,controller and trunk cableto need replacing and suspect they hadn't a clue . Problemis with these tied systems is one is at the mercy of the dealers and their costs. One would suspect the first likely cause may be the battery , was it ever considered or checked out...

    Yes , red/black/blue is PAS sensor and other pair brakes. With the sensor make sure the magnet gap tp sensor is 1mm and check that the magnet disc is fitted firmly , it musn't be able to rotate around it's axis manually.

    Show us the connectors. Typically 6 pin is the Hall wire, 5 wires is display.

    You can test controller mosfets to see if they are shorted and one can test the motor Halls for failure. Mosfets means new controller , Halls means motor repair or running using a Hall less controller. Do the above tests before spending any money to be certain of the problem...

    The best resource is probably the mine field that is Endles sphere , lots of battery threads/ guides on there . Swapping cells out generally isn't a good idea on and older battery.

    Yes I know it is but for someone really counting the pennies £180 is a bargain for a town bike. WIth some discounts I can get the 36v model for £193.50, It might be handy for my cycling recouperation after my major surgery being a low step bike. I could then at later date stick my 44v battey...
