Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

How many volunteers to road test the free units you would like to send us are you looking for? I can offer specialist solar testing.

Velospeeder - any experience - Brompton in particular

I'd be inclined to prefer the lightest front hub motor you can find for cost, simplicity, reliability reasons at probably only just over 1kg extra.

GoPro 7 Hero Black: Best low light night settings for video capture of number plates while cycling

Experimenting is on my todo list, but like many places, there is still a round tuit shortage. Seems to be catching.

    Hemiway Cruiser

I look forward to hearing about your adventures! I watched the first video, and for 30 plus minutes was wondering how he was going to get home! And all along being very pleased with my dry feet every morning cycling footwear.

Help! Any experiences of the Bafang wheelbarrow motor?

I'm thinking of friends in hilly parts of Wales who live on a few acres at an average gradient of 1 in 5 or so! (And who might be a little older than me!)

Help! Any experiences of the Bafang wheelbarrow motor?

Grin have done the legwork, they like it, which would be good enough for me! Having watched the video, I can think of several people who could find this useful. Might have to get one myself! https://ebikes.ca/geared-wheelbarrow-motor-agricultural-tire.html...

Help! Any experiences of the Bafang wheelbarrow motor?

No, but likely to be very good. The hub is in such a small diameter wheel it will have great hill climbing ability compared to the same motor in a bike wheel. ....although with shipping costs in that listing making it rather expensive I wonder if there is a UK source!

    Parallel batteries

I would not connect at mid charge. The flat discharge curve means that a few tenths of volts represents a substantial amount of energy needing to move to equalise. Too much risk for me. If needing to do this, connect temporarily using a high wattage low ohms resistor until voltages are equal...

    Yamaha motor removal

I'm Shimano, but this probably applies to other mid drives too... The connectors are just plugs, but they are highly engineered for waterproofing and reliability. So give them the kid gloves treatment. Some specify a special tool for carefully gripping the plug rather than pulling on the cable...

    Parallel batteries

I aim for a tenth of a volt when connecting my two solar batteries in parallel, and I have a 5A fuse in the link. If the same charger is used to fully charge both batteries, and they are checked using the same multimeter just before making the connection, a tenth should be easy to manage.

Is this a technical breach of the law? Uncertain

Luggage and carriage are my two favourite esoteric bike related words.

    806se won't turn on

I'm guessing this is related to the temperature rise back in the eemian.

    Rockrider E-ST500

Haven't had that issue, but my two 36V generic batteries on my solar trailer both have USB ports, one good, charges my phone or Gopro batteries perfectly well, the other useless. Luck of the draw, maybe.

    Testing a battery

Usually the outer connections are connected as + and -, often the middle two are not. If they are it is just to share the load. So with multimeter if the probes are thin enough, just touch them on the outer connections, with the battery switch turned on. Fully charged should say 42V give or...

    Battery query

Not the best idea. There needs to be sufficient mechanical strength holding the cells in place to avoid strain on the interconnections and reliability issues, as well as enough protection to avoid damage in case of impact and so on. When a battery designer has relied on a case for these...

    SW900 LCD controller, no PAS

The good news is that your motor works and it is unlikely that both controllers would have the same fault, so don't give up, this will be simple and fixable, just not yet easy to find! There is no telling what might happen if there's a switchbox problem, I'd just open it up and check for any...
