Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Earlier in January this year, my car was covered in yellow dust. Sometime millions of tons of sand are whipped up into the air and carried by high altitude wind all the way to the UK. 07-September 2023: Saharan dust cloud sweeps over UK covering cars in an orange powder - CBBC Newsround

    Legal EBIKE LOOPHOLES

May I add this to what saneagle said? The word 'pedalling' does not mean that you have to propel your bike with your own force, ghost pedalling is fine.

Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

I think the design of those freewheel to cassette converters is fundamentally flawed, limiting their lifespan. If you take the ratchet mechanism apart to reach the pawls, you will see how flimsy it is. I had more than one popping out into pieces just by the twisting force the extractor socket...

    Legal EBIKE LOOPHOLES

SW posted the x-ray pic of his leg. I am pretty convinced that he's entitled to pip. I don't see anything wrong.

Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

Andy does the conversions for customers in recent years. The last conversion I did from freewheel to cassette was a few years ago. I did not take much time to change the gear shifter. No change to the motor wheel.

Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

@saneagle honestly, it took me 1 minute to drop the 85TS wheel in my frame. The dropout is 135mm. The dwg2nc has the same 135mm dropout. It's never been an issue. When you use the bike every day, upgrade to cassette.

Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

DWG2NC. Same weight but easier to install. If you can wait until December, I will have the Tongsheng 85TS kits in stock. It's lighter and easier to fit, no need to install the pedal sensor. Just install the battery and drop in the motor wheel. Perfect if you have pressfit bb. I have been...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

few of us work in factories now and even when we do, our factories are much cleaner than they ever were. That means we have achieved a great deal but the numbers still show there is a lot more to be done. I am usually more optimistic than a lot of people of my age. I believe pollution and...

Atmospheric condition, sand from the Sahara in high altitude. I just looked at the iquair.com current map. Where you live , PPM2.5 is 5 micrograms per cubic metre, 4 in Southend, 14 in Paris where my daughter's family live, and 28 in London where my son's family live. What do you say about the...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

You have regen braking and better tyres on EVs. Just look at how the Chinese got rid of the smog in their cities: with EVs. They also run their trucks on gas. When you talk about atmospheric pollution, let's limit ourselves to discussing cities because the problem is largely tolerable on rural...

Only when renewables can take over. We can't have the lights to go out. Rachel Glaving made out as if Miliband is going to close power stations. The main enemy of her nuclear reactors is gas, not renewables. Nuclear is so expensive that can only be used as third line, after gas.

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

I did read the article, Miliband did not say anything about shutting down gas fired power stations. Gas has been the cheapest source of power for a long time and should continue to be so for another generation (in the US, an oil barrel equivalent in gas costs only $12) until we have enough...

we shut down the last coal fired power station, not a nuclear reactor. # Her comment is a little self serving.

Let's go straight to EVs. The issue is clean air, nobody wants to live next to a waste processing centre that our cities have become.
