I cut off the alloy bars under the old battery mounts, and put in a couple of these studs, from my local car accessory shop. The studs will hold the Chinese battery :-) Pictures of the competed project coming soon.

Can't see a heat sensor in the Halfords battery. Also there is very little in the way of metalwork, in the Halfords electronics, to help get rid of the heat build-up. I am testing the new battery tomorrow on the steepest hill in town:-)
