Xiongda YTW-06 front hub motor into Norco Indie 3

This magnet ring is really ugly. There’re options to hide this in the bottom bracket, but they seem rather expensive. The motor itself is beautiful.

Xiongda YTW-06 front hub motor into Norco Indie 3

Thanks! Well Bonnie sold me the KT Controller together with motors, cables and displays. It's the sensored version, maybe that's why? I found this battery: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/VariCore-36-V-8Ah-10S4P-18650-akku-ge-ndert-Fahrr-der-elektrofahrzeug-36-V-Schutz-mit/32843137006.html...

Xiongda YTW-06 front hub motor into Norco Indie 3

Hi all, I ended up ordering 3 motors, as my godchild got so excited when I told him about the plans :D Plus 1 front motor for myself, a classic 28" Patria steel touring bike with Rohloff Gearhub, so I don't want to swap the rear wheel. Heres what I got (the motor is tiny, btw - I love it!) I'm...

Xiongda YTW-06 front hub motor into Norco Indie 3

I'm building this for my kid, a 7yo boy, so I don't have to push him, his bike and my own bike uphill on longer rides. Plus, I hope it's simply more fun. Here's the bike that's going to be converted, a 24"x2.6" plus bike for kids: Rides are 30km with 600-800m altitude (so I hope). Do you think...

Xiongda YTW-06 front hub motor into Norco Indie 3

    It says the 36v/7ah battery uses Sanyo GA 3,7 V 3500mah cells. So 3.5 amps, not 6. 36V 5.2ah: LG 3,7V 2600mah 36V 5.8ah: LG 3,7V 2900mah 36V 6.4ah: LG 3,7V 3200mah 36v 7ah: Sanyo GA 3,7 V3500mah I understand absolutely nothing about electro physics or what you may call it, to be honest.

    Small Rear Xiongda Motor

I pre-ordered a (hall-)sensored version of the Xiongda YTW06, which is being built right now and will hopefully be shipped before Christmas. Now I need to decide about the controller and a lightweight, easy to use interface. Any recommendations for the now sensored motor?

    Small Rear Xiongda Motor

Brilliant, thanks for your quick feedback. May I ask which controller and display you’d recommend with this motor? In my German forum, a fellow kids bike builder found this very lightweight battery with 6ah for 200€+tax: http://s.aliexpress.com/3UzmuYfA I want to give it a try... Saving...

    Small Rear Xiongda Motor

Hi, I'm new here, and here's my newbie question about a very new motor: Do you think this motor will work well on a 24" kids e-bike? very lightweight, which is even more important for kids (500g lighter than the lightest I found so far, CZJB JB-75A with 1.9kg) lower torque isn't critical for...
