    Solid State Batteries

Just when you thought that battery technology couldn't be improved upon. Long time to wait for us tho. At least we have left SLA behind. My comuter bike is heavy enough with lithium but we just heard yesterdaythat work will be moving 4 miles closer to home, hurrah! I have to wait till they have...

    Is this Pedelec P*rn?

Is that all you've got? Englishmen! Where is your fight? I was in fear and trembling coming back to this thread tonight. Will no one here admit to taking that post even a little seriously? The responses I expected where a gnashing of teeth toward me! What's this pathetic joking? Listen, I'll...

    Is this Pedelec P*rn?

"Drink water from your own well" and "whoever looks at a woman lustfully has committed adultery already" are just 2 quotes from our old bible. Gents, you are risking her whom you hold dear, along with her children, not to say your very lives with this indulgence. Believe me, I know...

How long should my ebike chain last?

I agree, a wiider chain has to be better. I do believe track bikes have the wider 1/8" size, the phychology being that those guys with enormous thigh muscles think that they would snap the chain if if was any narrower! But 1/8" used to be the norm before the demand for ever more sprockets at...

    Taking a Tongxin motor apart.

Appreciate the responses. Yes like that Amiga, but with silver stainless spokes. It came from Edinburgh. Jerry, did you manage to get hold of the special ring tool needed to remove the gearing? You need to get the gearing component out before the armature can be removed. I don't suppose the...

    Taking a Tongxin motor apart.

I am considering if a rewind is possible for this motor. Having just bought a used Tongxin off eBay in rather a hurry, I ended up with a 190rpm motor. It's laced into a 700c wheel at the moment but I want to use it on my old Raleigh 20 in a 20" wheel. I reckon I may achieve about 11 mph on 36v...

    Greetings from North Manchester

Hello there, I've been lurking here for ages and now feel I've picked up enough about ebiking to think about joining in the conversation. Followed Jerry Simon's adventures with the Tongxin kit and thanks to those threads I bought a used one off eBay with the hope of fitting on a Raleigh 20...
