    Modifying a pedelec disc

Hi, I'm now thinking of another kit, this one has a 12 magnet disk and corresponding sensor. Would it be possible to replace it with a 5 magnet disc and its sensor as this is easier to modify to fit my bike? or would I need a different control box? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I...
