Which bike has the longest pure power range?

Wow, that's impressive. How much do you weigh? However, wisper only claim "up to 56 miles range" for the larger battery. What makes you think you can get 70?

Which bike has the longest pure power range?

I currently get about 10 miles from my Powabyke X-byke (I weigh about 14 stone). Are there any bikes which would do more than this on pure power?

Thanks for suggestion. I tried that, the connections feel secure.

    Powabyke warranty issues

Thanks. I'll try this but not sure it quite fits. When it started cutting out I didn't have any trouble starting and it started to cut out when I was up and running. I was on pure power at this point so pedal sensor shouldn't have been an issue (you can of course stop pedalling on pure power and...

    Powabyke warranty issues

The power started cutting out a couple of days ago. Then it went completely. Power to the throttle OK-all the lights are on-but no power to the motor.

    Powabyke warranty issues

Thanks. I will be much wiser when I next buy a bike, and will certainly do some things differently. Hope others may also benefit from this.

What a wonderful day part 2 - Route 21 ride - Electric to Eastbourne

I recognise that beach. I grew up in Eastbourne and that beach was the nearest to my house. I've swam near there many times. When we first moved in our back garden was stones, there were no fences, and it was shingle all the way to the beach. Good ride, good photos. Well done.

    Powabyke 6 or 24 - any difference?

I've got the X6. I had to return the first battery, which wouldn't do much more than five miles, but replacement was OK. The electrics have now packed up and I'm trying to arrange to get it fixed under warranty (see my other thread on warranty issues). As far as the gears are concerned, I...

    Powabyke warranty issues

Flecc, There was one other thing, which I didn't mention because I wasn't sure whether or not it was true and I was keen to stick to the facts as I understood them. But you may be able to clarify. One dealer said to me that the free dealer labour part of the warranty was in any case at the...

    Powabyke warranty issues

Same is true of my motorbike (which you may still consider part of motor trade). I bought it from a dealer 60 miles away, all my warranty work is done at my local dealer. I'm not really arguing about the business pros and cons. I'm just keen to make sure consumers are fully aware of this.

    Powabyke warranty issues

I have said previously that I've been very pleased with my Powabyke X-byke, and the customer service from the company-until today. My X-byke has stopped working. It's under warranty so I rang Powabyke to ask what I should do. Specifically, I wanted to know where my nearest Powabyke dealer was...

    Powabyke technical help

Andy, Thanks. I am a little wiser now about how the sensors work, and how I might and might not be able to test them. I've just got new back, so I'll put this project on back burner for a while. If and when I find a solution, I'll post it in case it helps or interests anyone else.

    Powabyke technical help

Andy, All good advice, thanks. I've used multimeter on the PCB and confirmed that power goes from battery to PCB connections when the ignition is switched on. If I "jump" power across from the + and - battery pins to the acceleration pin on the PCB the motor jumps forward. Therefore, my...

    Powabyke technical help

Andy, Thanks for your help here. When you say "speed controller" do you mean the motion sensor (or do you mean the throttle)?

    Powabyke technical help

It's got a side stand. I don't think the diagnostic thing works on this one unfortunatley, I tried it (hold throttle open and switch on ignition?) the LED lights just came on as normal. However, I don't think throttle is working (see below) so I'm wondering if that would stop the self-test...

    Powabyke technical help

I think this should probably be posted in technical section-but i got a message saying I didn't have permission to post there. I'm trying to get a Powabyke Euro21 working. I've made a few mistakes, and I'm now a bit stuck. I'm hoping that if I tell you everything I've done, and all the...
