    Update - After reinstalling my controller and altering the parameters, I now have a speed shown when coasting. I've no idea what has changed so I've made a note of the working settings. Thanks for all the help!

    Thanks for your reply again vfr400. I have 5v on the white hall wire into the controller. Tapping this to ground a few times a second still gives no speed reading whatsoever.     Yes, but I have a constant 5v on the white wire on the hall plug. By way of an experiment, I've disconnected the 5v constant from the white hall and added a hall sensor with a magnet. I get 5v everytime i pass the magnet over the hall. I have wired this into the white and ground and a 5v supply...

    Hi, thanks. I tried setting p7 to 1 (amd many other variables) but had no luck. It picks up a speed reading if i turn the wheel backward this engaging the clutch. I still have a reading when only the phase and no hall plug is connected.
