New Specialized Turbo Levo models (hardtails, fat bikes)

That's a decent range and not far off what I'm getting with the haibike with a 400wh battery around south hams (quite hilly). I'll get a Bafang ordered tomorrow and have a word with BGA to see what's possible battery wise. Luna do a 52v 14s4p 13.5ah "shark" pack, if you could replicate...

New Specialized Turbo Levo models (hardtails, fat bikes)

Wow, excellent idea on the battery..what kind of range do you get with the saddlebag? I assume that's 48v rather than 52v? Think I may give that a go with my Foes and a BBS HD..may have some more questions for you if that's OK :)

New Specialized Turbo Levo models (hardtails, fat bikes)

I assume that will be with a backpack battery? If so do you make the battery packs yourself or purchase them from somewhere? I've been tempted to try a Bafang on one of my regular bikes but the lack of somewhere to mount the battery has always been the issue.

New Specialized Turbo Levo models (hardtails, fat bikes)

I like the look of the specialized bikes but I'm not convinced with the motors or Ui. I'm also too heavily invested in the Bosch system as I've bought a spare 500 powerpack for my existing bike which gives me loads of range.

I'm also really liking the look of this years Cube's, very tempted by the C62 SL but it's a toss up between one of those and a new road bike

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I have a Haibike AMT Pro also, I hadn't considered the suspension settings so i'll take a look at that and reduce the pressures on the tyres to see if it makes any difference. Thanks for the input :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I've been struggling with front end grip over the past few weeks to the point where last Friday I did a great superman impression over the bars 1/2 way round my local trail centre. I'm not sure if this is down to tyres or the weight of the bike or where the weight is on the bike. I'm currently...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Whilst I agree with the vast majority of your post my Strava stats say the opposite. At my local trail centre i'm 6 mins faster per lap with the dongle than without, each lap is just under 10 miles and I generally do 2 laps per ride. Having said that without the dongle I could easily do 3...

Ignore the above as I've seen you've mentioned this in a different post.

Check your linkage bolts are all tight and present. Read a few reports of them becoming loose over time on the German forum. I check mine after every other ride.

    down hill forks on haibike

You will need a headset reducer, Chris king or hope would be my choice. It's a nice idea but will effect the handling quite a lot. You'll also have 2 inch more travel at the front than the rear. DVO make some nice upside down forks with a tapered steerer but very expensive. You also need to...

    Handlebars

I've fitted a shorter stem (Thomson 4x) and slightly wider bars to my haibike (Renthal fatbar) which are 780mm wide. I get off, put the bike on the rear wheel and turn the bars to get through those. I think it largely depends on the type of riding you do as my xc bike has 570mm flat bar and...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The handling is fine, I just mean on a flat road I'd have a higher average speed on my non-ebike....it obviously more than makes up for it when the gradient gets steeper and results in a higher average speed overall. I've noticed personally I sit around 16.5-17mph after the motor has cut out...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

New to the site and just purchased a Haibike last week. I've done around 50 miles on it over the weekend and really enjoyed it off road. Bit boring on road as feels like a big lump to get over 16mph when i'd otherwise be going a bit faster on my non-ebike. Can't wait to get out on it again.
