    Thumb throttle not working

Bingo! The problem was indeed with the incorrect wire order. I swapped the wires into the correct order, and everything is working now. Thank you for the helpful comment that led me to the solution!

Melted cables at the control unit

Since I don't solder every day, I guess I may have soldered the wires incorrectly during the replacement of the control unit. Corrosion may have occurred too as I ride my bike in the rain. I'll start by fixing the connections with better connectors and then see if the heating issue recurs.

    Thumb throttle not working

No information about pinouts. However, here are the pictures of my controller and the purchased thumb throttle (https://amzn.to/4gxqCE6). The controller diagram was provided by the bike manufacturer. Hopefully, this might help with remote diagnosis of the issue...

    Thumb throttle not working

No. The thumb throttle device does not respond in any situation – whether the bike is stationary or the motor is already running and I'm pedaling. The motor only activates in response to pedaling, i.e., through the PAS sensor.

    Thumb throttle not working

I'm not sure if I asked correctly. I installed the thumb throttle so that I wouldn't have to pedal at all, but rather that the device would engage the motor by pressing the throttle without the need to pedal. I have a manual for my LCD display (Nokee-U - https://bit.ly/3XPNqHS), but the thumb...

    Thumb throttle not working

I have a fat bike with a motor in the rear wheel (Bafang 250W). The control unit (voltage 36V, max. current 17A, rated current 8A) has a connector for both the PAS sensor, which is currently active and functional (the motor only engages when the pedals are turned), and a connector for a thumb...

Melted cables at the control unit

I have a fat bike with a motor in the rear wheel (Bafang 250W). During a routine check of the control unit (voltage 36V, max. current 17A, rated current 8A), I discovered that all the cables connecting the battery (Li-ion Silverfish 36V/21Ah) to the control unit have partially melted insulation...

    Brose S-Mag failure

I am experiencing a serious issue with my my Specialized Turbo Levo e-bike, powered by a Brose Drive S-Mag, Gen 1 (C16162). It has stopped working after I uploaded a third-party application to control it. After the failure I went to an authorized Specialized service center, where they...

    Fat bike brakes upgrade

I have a city ebike, with 20-inch fat tires, a folding one, very like the "Mate X" bike. It is quite heavy, a 25-30 kg bike. I am quite not satisfied with my Tektro Auriga hydraulic brakes, with the 160 mm rotors. The brake pads wear out quickly, there is still random parasitic noise even if I...

    Controller replacement

Wires/connectors are identical. What differs are the current/voltage values. To install a switch? Can you be more specific, please? I am just a bike user, not a technician.

    Controller replacement

Hello I have an city ebike, with Bafang rear hub motor (36V/250W), Silver fish battery (36V/21 Ah). I am forced to replace my controller unit, due to a minor failure (front light stopped working). The current controller unit has this specification: Rated voltage: 36V Maximum current: 17A...
