hello ,
i have 2 road bikes, one is a carbon frame and the other is a aluminium frame. I am thinking of putting a Byfang E bike kit
to one of them. Not sure which one would be the best to convert. Has anyone done this themselves or any advice on this would be much appreciated. Thank you :)

Bafang BBS** kits are designed for standard shimano/BSA bottom brackets. That's the first place to look on your bike. The next thing to look at is how and where to fit the battery. Generally, the bottle fixings in carbon frames are not strong enough for a heavy battery, but might be OK for a lightweight one.

You've hardly given any information, so you can only get superficial advice.

I'm doing something similar but to a Boardman Hyb 8.6. Is it a mid drive or hub drive ebike kit ? The route I am going down is getting a TBK100AD CST rear hub motor (quite light at 2.1kg) and then getting the rear wheel built here (possibly using the original rim if it has the right number of holes) and then adding a battery - either a bottle battery to keep it light or a downtube battery for larger capacity - I would avoid the carbon frame

I would agree with others, don't put a mid drive on a carbon frame. Plus the battery weight point.

Tbh, whilst you can convert carbon bikes i generally don't see the point. Once it's electrified the super light carbon roadie USP is negated
