So the the kit is on and battery built. Didn't go remotely how i had planned in my head. Mostly due to wiring lengths and controller being bigger than i thought .

So basically I've chucked it on for now with bits and bobs i had in the shed. The controller will move into the triangle when I've made a custom holder. The battery bag will be chnaged for something sleeker but same in the same location.

Weight wise is a surprise. Still very managable.

Cost wise kit was 320 without a battery
Cells and bms was 72 delivered
Heat shrink, xt60 , nickel strips and welder i already had in stock. Same with the two little bags. So call it 400 all in though I expect to get a decent sum back from the sale of the dynamo hub wheel and lights setup i removed. (100 ?)

Quick range update. 14 miles on the easy flat and no wind. A comfy 10 with mild hill and a bit of wind. Generally i sit in pas4 of 5.

5 is bit faster than top gear with a full battery. After a few miles it feels better in pas5 as the voltage on the pack come down a bit.

Very happy with performance, torquier than expected. Generally very happy with woosh kit.

My only grumble is the controller , it's *just* to big to get in the triangle easily . There is nothing wrong with it, nicely waterproofed etc. Just 10 to 15% smaller and I'd be laughing. Might buy a spare controller just to hack the pcb out and rehouse.......

14 miles is good Kirstin for 5ah esp for PAS5, I'm seeing 30+ with a 3 year old HG2 6ah pack though that is on a lowly PAS1 on a KT.
