Completely home built Tadpole trike , based loosely on an Atomic Zombie Streetfox , but with many modifications including being lowered by 3 inches for stability , This little baby has 20 " front wheels and 26" rear wheel , 28 Gears ( 7x4 ) just in case you have to pedal it home , Under seat steering and disc front brakes , brushless electric hub motor in the rear wheel with a 48 volt 12 ah SLA battery pack . It took about 8 weeks to build including a week to let the paint harden . It is constructed using 40mm square 16 gauge steel tube for the main booms and 1" square for the front disc supports . Was it worth it ? ------- OH YES !!!
Fast , stable , fun to ride , and a head turner:- what more can I say .
I am just about to start a tandem tadpole e-trike when the weather improves , but we need to machine some 48 hole 20mm disc hubs for the front , like most things , trike-wise we have had to build it ourselves !
