Having departed Perth on 1st August, an eZee riding party of 3 is currently heading towards Melbourne, with their Sydney destination planned for 14th September.
Undertaking the 6 week challenge are Abraham Wile and Maurice Wells of Australian eZee distributor, Glow Worm Bicycles, alongside CEO of eZeebike, Wai Won Ching.
The Glow Worm team, who have been holding meet and greets along the way, are riding eZee Titanium Torq bikes while 63 year old Wai Won Ching is on his eZee Expedir.
The trip started out by taking in the Western Australian coastline before heading across the mighty Nullarbor to Port Augusta, then Adelaide. From there, Melbourne and up to Albury is planned, Kosciusko National Park for a few hills, connecting to an off road adventure through Namadgi National Park to bring our e-bikes into Canberra, then on to a party on Friday Sep 13th from 5pm. Anyone in Australia is welcome to join in on the ride at various points along the way including the last section in to Sydney.
Singaporean Wai Won Ching is the CEO of eZeebike which has been exporting electric bicycles to Western markets for the past 12 years. Wai Won has travelled from Shanghai for this ride, which he says is ‘the longest holiday he has taken in his life’. He has previously ridden his products the entire length of the Silk Road and on a 3000km off road adventure in Africa.
