The latest model from Gazelle, the low step-through Avenue, utilises the Shimano STEPS drivetrain.
For urban dwellers that prefer an upright riding position, the manufacturer say the Avenue has been designed and built for practicality, whether “commuting to work, running errands, or exploring the cityscape.”
The 250W Shimano STEPS motor with the ‘platinum’ 500Wh battery achieves an average range of 50 miles but can, depending on riding conditions and assistance levels, last up to 80 miles. Gazelle say: “The platinum Shimano battery has an extended range of 80 miles, plenty to get you through most the week, and with a torque rating of 50 Nm, the motor has the quick acceleration needed to keep up with the ebb and flow of traffic.”
