What D lock would you recommend?

I realise that no lock is unbreakable given time but within reason what D lock do you recommend? One that I could take with me rather than just use at home. I'm also planning on a cable too to put through the wheels etc.

Thank you

I was going to buy the Abut Granit U lock, but went with the folding version instead..

Kryptonite evolution LONG shackle.
Best £32 I've spent ... so far ... for relative peace of mind.
Bracket works brilliantly for me on the seat tube facing backwards. Legs clear it ok when pedalling. So quick to attach and detach.
Secure gold rated and the LONG shackle version lets you lock up to so much more stuff than the standard 9 inch.

Heavyish, but a decent D lock always will be.

I have the Kryptonite, the Abus = +25% of the price of my upright! The Kryptonite 10%. The Abus is of course 10% of the price of my trike and when it gets a motor and is out and about would be the logical choice but I prefer two (or more locks) in that case. I am looking at fitting a frame lock, they are so quick and practical and with the chain let you attach to street furniture.

Buy Gold level Dutch rating system locks and take photo(s) of your bike locked to street furniture. If you bike goes missing show the insurance company the photo(s) and the receipt for the lock(s).
