I'm pretty sure Bosch has always said it will be available as a retrofit for the Performance Line motor. I'd imagine once it is released for this purpose it will be rather easier to swap over without recourse to the updates you have had to do. Good work though!

I still think that Bosch have cocked up big time by not offering a dedicated e-mtb display console. E-mtb's only need battery and power settings, both of which could easily be installed into a sensibly sized 50mm x 40mm display.

I completely agree, something about the size and style of the smallest Garmin Edge would be perfect.

In Germany they do not only report software problems with Nyon but also hardware problems: a number of people have the edge of their Nyon getting cracked. Someone even reported he put the Nyon on his desk overnight and the day after the edge was broken!

I have one of each.

Smaller, old style on the AVE, and an Intuvia on the Rose.

As Martin says, there's a lot to be said for smaller display.

It feels well made, although no thought went into the fiddly edge buttons.

Having set one of the assist levels, say Speed, you can at least go up and down it using the bigger buttons on the front.

The Intuvia display is OK perched on the bars of a trekking bike like the Rose, hardpack or cinder track is about my limit.

I can see the bigger Nyon display will be very vulnerable to damage on a mountain bike being used for the purpose like Eddie does.

Mine looked like this after just doing the 32 mile ride last weekend, and it wasn't really even that muddy of a ride.

I've ordered/bought one of these to care for the unit when not using the bike,

but can't sadly have that same care or control over it when it's fitted to the bike. As I'm not interested in playing/touching the unit whilst riding, I might well wrap cling film around it to prevent scratches.
Ultimatly I can see me putting an Intuvia display on the bike, but we'll see.
