I have recently purchased a Ridgeback electron plus ebike. The advertised range on an Eco setting is 125km which is about 77 miles. I appreciate that this is very dependent on the weight of the rider, the hilliness of the terrain, headwinds etc. However on a fully charged battery and all previous settings zeroed I am told that the Eco range is only 57 miles, twenty miles less than that advertised by Ridgeback. I have emailed them three times about this but they have not replied. So much for customer relations! I have also discussed the issue with my dealer but he does not know. Any advice regarding this issue will be most welcome as I am 71 and having an extra 20 miles on Eco is important for longer cycle runs.

If the STEPS system works the same way as the Bosch system it works it out on the last mile or so travelled.

So if the last mile was all downhill with only very slight assist then you reset everything & recharged your battery then you would probably find it says 100+ miles.
