How much did you pay?

I don't want to spoil your day, but in case you don't know, the bill for duty comes about 2 weeks after delivery.

£98 with charger and free shipping - so I think worth a punt. Duty, if any, will be around £20-35. I still think it is worth it. Will report back on range, duty etc once tested....

What is the dimensions of this battery pack?
Can you shed some light on the installation......I take it it is just the internal cell pack which you install into your own case?

Interested in replacing internal cell pack on a 36V 8Ah wisper battery

200x100x70 - all data shows in the link above. Went for a one hour ride today. Battery alone works well - in combination with the Phylion I cannot get the LED to dip into the red which is good. I reckon it is around 8 ah.

What was involved in purchase?
Did you just fill in your details and make paypal payment via the web page form?
Hope you can oblige as never bought parts outside UK

I used a credit card for this purchase - cannot see a Paypal payment method.
Yes just sign up with DHgate and make the purchase. Noticed that the 6% discount has finished. This unit woud also fit easily into an Ezee battery case and into your Wisper case. A lot less expensive then brand replacements.
As mentioned not so costly to lose sleep over if things go astray - but they wont......

Just sent for one.

How long did yours take to arrive after placing your order?
Did you manage to escape the BorderForce charge?

about 12 days - well packed and unmarked. So far no duty...hammered it on Tuesday for the out and return to work of 28 miles, normal pedaling. Tried to get it to cut out - although assist dropped off it kept going and going with the red LED perminently on. The bike is an early ezee Forza. When I measured the voltage it showed 35.5V. The charge took about 3.5 hours - so at 2 ah charge rate I figure the battery is a true 6-8 ah.

Hi Lee,

The Phylion which was a very early Lithium Ion battery used by eZee must be at least 6 years old, they had a poor reliability record, having said that I have one myself which is still OK.

A guy came to me today with old eZee Quando which had a Phylion battery,
the case had swelled so much that it was almost locked on the bike and took a lot of effort to remove, he bought a replacement battery and it now goes as well as it did when new.

£108 for the battery and got stung with VAT this morning for another £15.
Border Force are good!

Battery should arrive shortly
Fingers crossed all goes well and SWMBO can get out and about on her bike.

For well well under the £500+ price of a new one this is a huge huge saving.
It begs the question-Is there a market over here for a reasonably priced recelling of our battery cases?

Thanks Lee for the heads up on the battery.

A wee bit of help needed with the wiring.
Lee, I hope you can oblige

Only 2 wires from the chineese cell pack (Red/Black) + the charger wire
Wisper has 4 wires coming from cell pack.....? (2Red/2Black)

Battery arrived quickly and well packaged but no UK plug.
It fits well in my Wisper case

Looking at my opened up wisper case I can see 3 red wires from the Key switch.

Questions:
1-Can I use my wisper charger?.......instead of the supplied Chineese one
Don't want to alter the wisper case if possible and would prefer to alter the Chineese charger wires to my Wisper outlet.
2 Did you just connect the Chineese cell pack to the Wisper plug and do away with the top and bottom fuse holders?
3 I have a broken off thick red wire, quite long, from the key switch that goes somewhere.......does it go to the bottom fuse holder?

Would like to keep the Wisper wiring complete as possible and adapt

What did you do?

you would probably better off sticking with the new charger but if you prefer the wisper charger, you need to check the output voltage of both chargers first.
The old wisper wiring have fuses on both input and output. The two small wires with the white plug is for the battery meter.
The output fuse is next to the output connector. Resolder the broken red wire from the keyswitch to the output fuse fist. Cut off the output pair and charging pair wires about 10cm from old wisper pack and solder in the new pack.

In principle it's simple. Your wire that's adrift should be connected to the fuse at the bottom, which presently has a mising wire.

Regardless of how the Wisper one is wired, the red power wire from your new battery goes to the key-switch. The other side of the key-switch goes to the fuse at the bottom. The other side of the fuse goes to the terminal at the bottom. The black battery wire goes directly to the terminal at the bottom.

Your photo and description is unclear. You say your new battery only has two wires, but I can see something else, which I guess is the charge wire with a connector on it. If that's so, cut off the connector and join the two wires to the Wisper charge connector. If Wisper have a fuse on one of the charge wires, you can leave that there and connect the wire to it instead of the charge connector.

The most important thing is that you get the positive and negative wires the correct way round on the terminals and charge connector. DO NOT MAKE ANY ASSUMPTIONS. Check everything with a meter. Do not attempt anything until you have one. You have been warned!

Alas the web site link above now shows site does not exist.....
Agree with above - double double check polarity is correct before switching on. Mine was fitted in parallel with another battery and sits on the back rack underneath the saddlebag - it can be run on its own or in parallel with the 2 year old Phylion.

1st run this morning..........wife happy=me happy

Removed the wisper charger connection which left a hole in the case for the new Chineese charger cable to pop thro'.

Looking at the 3 pin wisper charger connection......only 2 wires are used so I could have still used the wisper charger by soldering the Chineese wires to the wisper charger connection inside the battery case

Again......many thanks for the input regarding the battery cell.

What a saving !
