Battery / Charger Fault!!??

Hi,

Looks like I may have a problem with my recently acquired "2nd hand Alien 350w kit Battery/ charger.


Fully charged when collected, did a 20+ mile run, battery fairly flat, recharged to green light in about 3-4 hours.

20+ run to again nearly flat battery, recharged to green in about 4 hours.

20+ trip again put on charge red light stays on and charger seems very hot to the touch. Battery is charged though showing around 41.9v on my tester.

Same again today.

Is the fault likely to be the charger or Battery? Anything else I can check?

Hi there, not sure how alien ocean battery/chargers work exactly

But if it is charging the battery ok then no big issue is there ?

Could it be getting hot and taking longer because it is balancing the cells?

My 8fun 42v charger always gets pretty darn warm. Always has and never been an issue

Just a thought
